They met during college–Bob at Pitt and Karlie at Duquense–and celebrated their wedding in the same place! Karli said that they took their planning from the places they spent most of their time together, as a reflection of how they met and grew as a couple. To reflect the University of Pittsburgh, they had their ceremony at the Heinz Memorial chapel, and to reflect Duquense University, the reception was held at the Duquense Power Center. Karli planned a gorgeous day with wonderful fall colors, but the weather had other ideas! Even though a hurricane howling its way through Pittsburgh, we shot outside and Karli even braved Mount Washington without an umbrella! These two were so much fun!
Arriving at the Heinz Memorial Chapel with the leaves changing was beautiful! We quickly headed to the dressing room to put on Karli’s elegant gown!
While it was busy pouring rain outside, we took the opportunity to do some portraits in front of the beautiful stained glass and the gorgeous naves of the Heinz Chapel! These are some of my favorites–loved the colors and how elegant the naves are!
Braving the rain, we did some romantic shots using the umbrella!
Since Karli and Bob really wanted to get some Signature Pittsburgh photos, they took everyone to the top of Mount Washington for a few shots! Karli and Bob ignored the hurricane and got some great black and whites with the silhouette of the city in the back!
Karli was a brave bride, but Bob kept her warm! We decided to head over to the
Duq Power Center and use their Skywalk to do more photos of Karli and Bob, as well as individuals of the bridal party, before the reception!
And then there was just the most massive and detailed cookie table EVER. This is where I spent a lot of time. Just kidding. Sort of. 😉
I loved using the mums and the mum cookies to do so me Macros of the wedding rings!
Karli and Bob wanted some night shots with the city lights in the back, and the balcony was the perfect area! Loved doing these!
Karli and Bob…thank you so much for including me on your special day! Best wishes to you both ❤
