I’m so excited to share this wedding with you! It’s the first wedding of my 2013 season, and Zoe and Scotty kicked it off right! They literally threw one of the best parties I’ve ever attended. From the moment I met Zoe, her sweet blue eyes gave way to her warm, friendly personality, overflowing with compliments and wonderful things to say of her fiance and her daughter. She showed me photos of her gown and I was enthralled with the tiers of ruffles and her daughter’s coordinating dress! She looked so elegant among all the black & white details she and Scotty planned! Everything was country chic and turned out absolutely gorgeous!
Zoe and Scotty decided that they would like to do a First Look Session. Being that it was April and the sun sets a little earlier, they wanted ample light. Zoe and I talked about it, and after answering some questions and talking it over together first (it’s a very personal choice!) they decided they liked how intimate and personal it sounded! That is the truth–these sessions are so great for that exact reason. You are lost in the moment of being with each other because there is no one else there to distract you. You also get more time with each other and it’s a more relaxed session because there is no need to rush. It’s a really romantic session–we start with a pre-designated place, and Scotty waits for Zoe. Then, Zoe hops in my car–with all of her crinoline!–and we drive and make our way to the meeting place. She walks up behind him, and when she’s ready, she’ll touch his shoulder and he may turn around to see her for the first time as his bride! It’s a sweet, touching moment! I love the smiles and laughs they shared!
LOOK at her smile! That laughter of seeing each other for the first time as bride and groom on your own is just wonderful! We then headed back to the church, and found we even had a little time to spare to do some more photos in front of the dramatic entrance doors!
Zoe and Scotty had their beautiful ceremony at St. Paul’s in Butler Pennsylvania.
After a heartfelt ceremony, we headed to the White Barn in Prospect, Pennsylvania for one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to!
PIES! Wedding pies instead of cakes are becoming pretty popular and I’m happy about it!
Zoe’s ring was beautiful, and Scott had the coolest wedding band–it was all black!
There was a small casualty from doing a back flip on the dance floor, but he was pretty tough and carried on like it was nothing! Everyone was very impressed! WOW–seriously you two! Lots of fun, thank you SO much for having me be a part of your day! I wish you many years of love and happiness for your cute family!
