I decided to do a post about food because in our house, we LOVE to cook ethnic meals and try new things! I used to be all about Italian food, and while it is delicious (duh!) my cute husband convinced me to branch out, and I haven’t looked back! Most recently we had an adventure making Pho, a Vietnamese soup our dear friends introduced us to! I’m glad my girlfriend talked me into trying it, and now I’m making stockpots of it at a time! It’s good to listen to your friends, they usually have awesome advice 😉
I’ve also had the opportunity and pleasure to shoot food at two of our town’s coolest restaurants–W.Rick’s Taproom and Grill and The Chop Shop! My best friend and I always go to W.Ricks when she makes a stop home; they have fantastic appetizers and we always save room for a basket of fried pretzels with hot fudge.Bill Atkinson of the Chop Shop literally makes the BEST crab cake I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot from someone born in Manhattan 😉 You can also catch him over at Hangar 473, which has gorgeous decor and amazing cocktails. We’ve got a lot to offer here!
The rest of the food photos were taken around our home and to our travels, most memorably Asheville, NC, to where I was sooo sad to leave! Not only is the scenery stunning, but the restaurants were all vividly ethnic, right down our alley! I especially loved Bouchon, which is a fantastic French Bistro. If you ever get a chance, you should absolutely stop in Beer City, USA, as the town is nicknamed! You could even pay us a visit, as I’d love to set up a camp there 😉
Allright yinz, enough chatting! Here’s the food! Stop back soon! ❤
